Introduction

SES (Safe Exam Support) is a platform that delivers exams securely through Safe Exam Browser (SEB). This guide explains how to take an exam as a student.

How It Works

  1. You receive an 8-character access code from your teacher (e.g., AB12CD34)
  2. You go to the exam entry URL for your institution
  3. You enter the code on the exam entry page
  4. You authenticate via your institution's SSO login
  5. A SEB configuration file is downloaded
  6. SEB opens and you take the exam
  7. You submit your answers
  8. You close SEB

System Requirements

  • Safe Exam Browser installed on your computer (download from safeexambrowser.org)
  • A stable internet connection
  • Your institution login credentials

Important Notes

  • You must use Safe Exam Browser to take the exam — regular browsers are not allowed
  • All exam content is encrypted and secure
  • Auto-save runs every 30 seconds
  • Tab switching and focus loss are monitored for exam integrity
  • The exam timer counts down automatically and submits when time runs out
